Annalena Baerbock was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Oleksiy Makeyev.
In particular, the German Foreign Minister saw the Saltivka district in Kharkiv, which was seriously damaged by Russian shelling.
“Thank you Dmytro Kuleba for inviting me to Kharkiv today. Besieged, bombed, liberated – this city is a symbol for the madness of Russia’s aggression and for Ukrainian’s unbreakable will to live in freedom from oppression. Be sure that Germany will support you all the way,” Annalena Baerbock wrote on Twitter about her visit to Ukraine.
The Minister of Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba expressed his belief in continued support from Germany.
“Today, Annalena Baerbock and I visited wartime Kharkiv, where Russia caused enormous suffering. Kharkiv is now a symbol of successful Ukrainian counteroffensives which prove Ukraine will win with sufficient support of partners. I have no doubts further German military aid will come,” Dmytro Kuleba noted on Twitter.
