The Ministry of Defense of Finland noted on February 23, 2023, that Finland would transfer three Leopard 2 mine clearing tanks to Ukraine as part of the 13th military aid package.

“As part of the international cooperation regarding Leopard tanks, Finland will hand over three Leopard 2 mine clearing tanks to Ukraine, as well as training related to their use and maintenance. These three tanks are included in the aid package that has now been decided,” informed the Ministry of Defense of Finland.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Finland, an aid schedule is not reported in detail to ensure the safe delivery of aid, other content, and delivery method.
“A year has passed since the beginning of the Russian attack, and Ukraine still needs support in its defense battle. We are sending more defense material and participating in the Leopard cooperation together with our partners,” says Defense Minister of Finland Mikko Savola.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Finland, the country provides Ukraine with an aid package worth 160 million euros. In total, Finland has already provided aid to Ukraine for over 750 million euros.
