The European Union countries are planning to ban investment in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea from December 15, EUobserver has reported.
“The situation in eastern Ukraine remains a strong concern. The European Council is ready to take further steps if necessary in a reference to Russia sanctions. EU countries plan to impose a ban on investments in Russia-annexed Crimea on December 15,” reads the report.
As reported, in the spring of 2014, the EU imposed a series of economic sanctions on Russia and some Russian officials. Russia, in turn, banned imports of some food products from the countries that introduced sanctions against it.
