EU ready to allocate third package of financial assistance to Ukraine early next year

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and European Commission President Jean-Claude Junckerhave discussed economic and financial cooperation between Ukraine, the EU and international financial organizations.
The presidential press service reported this, citing a telephone conversation between Poroshenko and Juncker.
The Ukrainian president thanked the European Union for support and effective dialogue with the EU. Poroshenko welcomed the European Council conclusions of December 18-19 aimed at further support for Ukraine.
“Jean-Claude Juncker stressed his readiness to provide economic support to Ukraine through the allocation of the third package of macro-financial assistance early next year,” reads the statement.
Juncker also said that he plans to visit Ukraine in early 2015.
