“The President of the European Council has invited the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenkyy to participate in person in a future summit of the European Council. For security reasons, no further information will be provided,” tweeted Barend Leyts.
The personal participation of the President of Ukraine in the summit would allow him to meet with all EU members.
On February 9-10, 27 EU leaders will gather in Brussels for a summit, where the planned topics for discussion are Ukraine, migration, and the bloc’s reaction to the law on reducing inflation in the USA.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s only foreign visit after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was a December trip to Washington, where he held talks with US President Joe Biden and spoke at a joint session of Congress.
