EU ambassadors may approve the suspension mechanism of EU visa waivers, which also concerns Ukraine and Georgia, at a meeting next week, according to RFE/RL correspondent in Brussels Rikard Jozwiak.
”I think there can be a deal on susp mech nxt week. EU ambs will meet on 7 Dec & new trialogue can follow the same day,” Jozwiak wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
”I understand that France feels pressure to agree on a deal on susp mech before the EUCO on 15-16 December,” he tweeted.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the official website of the European Parliament (EP) announced a preliminary date for consideration of a European Union visa suspension mechanism, which visa waivers for Ukraine depend on. The consideration is preliminarily scheduled for January 18, 2017.
