State-run enterprise Energoatom, the operator of Ukrainian-based nuclear power plants, has raised electricity production by 1.1% in January-February 2017 year-on-year (y-o-y), to 15.797 billion kWh, according to the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.
”Since the beginning of 2017, Energoatom has produced 15.797 billion kWh of electricity, which is 177.9 million kWh more y-o-y, including 15.759 billion kWh of electricity generated at nuclear power plants,” the report says.
According to the report, in February 2017, Energoatom produced 7.790 billion kWh of electricity, which is 456.2 million kWh more y-o-y.
”Coefficient of using the installed capacity of nuclear power plants amounted to 83.6% in February 2017, which is 7.7% more y-o-y,” the press service said, adding that this coefficient has increased by 2.2% for two months of 2017 compared to January-February 2016 and reached 80.4%.
