Victor Hetmanchuk, the head of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation noted on February 1, 2023, that last week, 156 generators purchased with charitable contributions from Canadian residents arrived in Ukraine.

According to Victor Hetmanchuk, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine received 50 generators, hospitals in different regions of the country were provided with 60 generators, and another 46 were transferred to families of veterans.
“Half a hundred special power generators were purchased in order to strengthen the capacity of repair crews in Ukraine. While Russian terrorist forces continue to destroy the energy infrastructure, Ukrainian energy workers are repairing networks day and night,” explained the head of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation.
The Foundation spent 1 million 230 thousand dollars on the purchase of all generators.
In general, from January to December 2022, the Canada-Ukraine Foundation and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress transferred various aid to Ukraine in the amount of $22.9 million Canadian dollars (about 18 million US dollars). During this period, more than 40,000 Canadians made charitable contributions.
