The European Commission introduced the so-called “solidarity lanes” earlier in May to improve EU-Ukraine connectivity for grain export, amid the ongoing blockade of Ukrainian ports due to the Russian invasion.
90% of grain and oilseed exports passed through Ukrainian Black Sea ports, before the Russian invasion.
