Couples get married and divorced more often in Kyiv and Dnepropetrovsk

There were 302,000 marriages recorded in Ukraine last year. Most couples tied the knot in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk.
The press service of the Ministry of Justice reported.
“Most of marriages were registered in Kyiv – 27,477 and in Dnipropetrovsk region – 25,085,” the statement said.
Runners-up in number of recorder marriages are Donetsk region (20,335), Kharkiv (19,839), Odessa (17,681) and Lviv (17 583).
Moreover, Dnipropetrovsk region holds the first place in the number of divorces (4,050) in 2014, while the capital city of Kyiv took the second place (3,745). 3,072 marriages were dissolved in Donetsk region, 2,873 – in Kharkiv, 2281 – in Odessa regions.
There were a total of 38,377 divorces recorded last year in Ukraine.
