Mélanie Joly assured that the topic of demining in Ukraine will remain in the focus of Canadian aid priorities. Canadian allies participate in the training of Ukrainian personnel of pyrotechnicians and specialists of the explosives service, as well as technical support for humanitarian demining of Ukrainian territories.

“Canada will allocate an additional 7.5 million Canadian dollars for the demining of Ukrainian territories, in particular for the training of your specialists. You can count on us in this work,” said Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Ihor Klymenko thanked the government of Canada for the powerful assistance provided since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.

“We are connected not only by the large Ukrainian diaspora but also by joint projects, starting from the development of the patrol police and the reform of the National Police until now, when you support us during the war,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted.

Mélanie Joly stressed that Canada would continue to help Ukraine in the fight against the Russian army and would do everything possible so that Ukraine overcomes the consequences of the war and can develop further.

“Canada was one of the first to provide significant financial assistance to Ukraine. And we will continue to do it until your victory,” said the head of the Canadian Foreign Ministry.
