The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed support for Ukraine with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak on February 4, 2023. British Prime Minister promised that British military equipment would reach the front line as quickly as possible.

“The leaders discussed the latest situation on the ground in Ukraine and the Prime Minister said he was focussed on ensuring the UK’s defensive military equipment reached the front line as quickly as possible,” noted the government of Great Britain.
Rishi Sunak also reported that Ukrainian tank crews have already started training on Challenger 2 tanks in Great Britain this week.
“Both leaders agreed that it was vital that international partners accelerated their assistance to Ukraine to help seize the opportunity to push Russian forces back, as well as looking at how they could support the long-term capability of Ukraine’s armed forces,” added the government of Great Britain.
The British Prime Minister also said that last week he met with Ukrainian military personnel who were undergoing training in Great Britain, and “was inspired by their courage and the stories of their loved ones back home.”
At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a conversation with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak, thanked him for the start of training of Ukrainian crews on Challenger 2 tanks.
