US President Joe Biden is convinced that the sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russia will destroy the economy of the aggressor country and cut it off from technology.

“In just this one year, our sanctions will negate everything that the Russian economy has been able to add over the past 15 years, because we cut Russia off from technology, such as importing the latest semiconductors, components for quantum technologies, securely coding Internet transactions – from everything what they need to stay competitive in the 21st century. We will block the ability of the Russian economy to grow for years to come.”
“We are expanding the list of completely excluded state-owned companies. “These companies are the top sources of income among those who belong to the Russian government, and Putin is using their funds for himself and to wage his war in Ukraine.”
