The Council of Ministers of Belgium approved a new package of military aid to Ukraine on November 25, 2022. It will include ten underwater drones and two mobile laboratories.

“These drones allow for the detection of all underwater threats: both mines and spy equipment. These are new high technologies that will be of great help to them. The Belgian army already has these machines,” Ludivine Dedonder said.
Belgium will also provide the Ukrainian military with mobile laboratories that can be “deployed near a chemical, bacteriological, radiological or nuclear incident.”
The minister also added that these laboratories could also be deployed in natural disaster areas where hospitals and maternity wards have been destroyed.
In addition, according to the Defense Minister of Belgium, the Belgian military will begin training Ukrainian soldiers. She clarified that about 100 instructors would join the European Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine).
