The Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevatyy informed on March 16, 2023, that Ukrainian troops killed 225 Russian servicemen, and wounded 306, as well as destroyed 2 Russian T-72 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles, an anti-aircraft missile system and 3 drones in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction (east of Ukraine).

“During this day, the Russian army tried to attack Ukrainian positions 42 times in the area of Bakhmut, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, and Ivanivske. Only in the area of Bakhmut itself, 24 combat clashes took place. Russian military fired 256 times with various types of artillery and multiple rocket launchers at Ukrainian positions in the Bakhmut direction, 53 of which took place only in the area of Bakhmut itself. 225 Russian soldiers were killed, and 306 were wounded,” explained the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, Russian troops shelled Lyman-Kupyansk direction 435 times, carried out 7 air raids, lost 54 soldiers and 96 were wounded.
“The Russian army also lost 2 T-72 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles, an anti-aircraft missile system and 3 UAVs, one of which is Orlan-10,” added Serhiy Cherevatyy.
