An operation by the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is under way in Feofania, outside Kyiv, to detain Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov as part of the so-called Onyshchenko case, according to MP Serhiy Leshchenko.
”The NABU is in Feofania now to detain Nasirov. He is charged with `restructuring` for Onyshchenko,” Rada member from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction Leshchenko wrote on Facebook on Thursday evening.
On Thursday, the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Special Anti-corruption Prosecutor`s Office of Ukraine (SAPU) held a number of raids in the State Fiscal Service`s offices, including its head office.
The search is part of an investigation into allegedly illegal decisions taken by Nasirov to restructure tax debts owed by companies affiliated with former MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
Nasirov is now in hospital in Feofania. NABU and SAPU agents have arrived at the hospital. The fact that Nasirov is in a hospital ward was confirmed by his lawyers who are present there.
