“All airports were shelled more than once, the degree of damage to them is different, runways, terminals, equipment or fueling complexes were damaged. But we can definitely say that all airports were shelled – somewhere twice, somewhere three times, and somewhere even four times “, – says Kubrakov.
At the same time, the minister believes that the first goal of the Russians, when carrying out such attacks, was hardly to weaken the economic potential.
“I think it was not related to the economy. The economy, is probably, in second place. Most of the airports were attacked in the first hours of the war. The Russians tried to hit the radar equipment, but they already hit wherever they could. We see that all their “high-precision” weapons, which shoot allegedly only at military personnel, for some reason now and then hit civilian objects, and airports are no exception,” Kubrakov noted.
