Air Command Skhid (East) of Ukraine`s Armed Forces conducted tactical exercises involving live fire from ZU-23-2 and ZKU-1 anti-aircraft guns, as well as DShK large-caliber machine guns, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote on Facebook.
”The drills` schedule was quite intense, and the preparation to the exercises was dynamic,” one of the participants to the drills, contracted senior soldier, anti-aircraft gun commander Dmytro Cheha was quoted as saying. ”During this short period of time I pretty muach mastered the ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun. Of course, the experience can`t be superfluous.Therefore, it will be necessary to continue my military training in my military unit.”
According to the deputy chief of the Air Command Skhid Colonel Andriy Berezhniy, all combat units showed professionalism and proper level of practical skills in using armament and military equipment.
