8,966 civilian objects were completely or partially damaged in the Mykolaiv region by Russians

The press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported on August 7 that 8,966 civilian objects were completely or partially damaged, including residential buildings, medical institutions, industrial enterprises, and educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region (south of Ukraine), since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“As of August 7, since the beginning of the Russian invasion in the Mykolaiv region, 8,966 civilian objects have been partially or completely damaged. Among them: objects of the housing fund – 5,801, medical institutions – 65, educational institutions – 317, cultural institutions – 130, objects of industrial enterprises – 104, objects of life support: gas – 774, electricity – 546, water – 28, heat supply – 94, other non-military objects – 1107.”

Works are ongoing to restore gas and electricity supply in settlements that suffered as a result of the war. Currently, 7,126 consumers remain without gas supply in the region.

In addition, it is reported that voluntary evacuation of civilians is being carried out in the region.

“As of August 7, there are 475 internally displaced persons in temporary accommodation facilities in Mykolaiv. A total of 24,856 people have been evacuated from the Mykolaiv region.”
