“As for the types of such crimes, there were many. All of them are listed in both the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute, a treaty governed by the International Criminal Court in The Hague. There were many types of such crimes, not only genocide but also rape, murder of civilians, and theft of property. All these are war crimes, which are subject to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, “said Malyuska.
Evidences of Russian war crimes in Ukraine will be provided not only to the International Criminal Court, but also to partner states that are conducting their investigations.
“It’s not just Ukraine or our neighbors. Many European countries have launched criminal proceedings against Russians for their actions in Ukraine,” he said.
He clarified that 42 countries of the world have appealed to the International Criminal Court due to Russian war crimes, which has made the procedure of starting an international investigation much easier.
