Three hundred miners have been trapped at the Zasiadko coalmine in Donetsk due to cuts to power supply triggered by the ongoing fighting in the city, the press service of DTEK Donetskoblenergo has reported.
“DTEK Donetskoblenergo power engineering experts are currently trying to restore power supply to the Zasiadko mine in Donetsk. The mine was left without power at 07.35 because of the fighting and damage to a power line. There were 300 miners underground at the time of power outage. A DTEK Donetskoblenergo team is currently conducting the temporary connection of the mine from another substation so that the miners could rise to the surface,” reads the report.
