The press service of “DTEK Energo” (the largest private investor in the energy industry in Ukraine) informed on March 9, 2023, that Russian missile strikes damaged three thermal power plants of Ukraine.

“The Russian army continues to carry out massive terrorist attacks on the energy facilities of Ukraine. Today, on March 9, three thermal power plants were damaged by Russian shelling. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties,” stressed the press service of “DTEK Energo”.
According to “DTEK Energo”, as a result of the shelling, the equipment of the thermal power plants was seriously damaged. After the end of the attack, the power industry promptly began liquidating the consequences.
“Since September 2022, DTEK thermal power plants have been attacked 29 times. As a result, 3 energy workers were killed, and 28 were injured,” added the press service of “DTEK Energo”.
As a result of the Russian missile attack on March 9, 2023, energy infrastructure facilities have been damaged in Ukraine. Electricity supply restrictions have been applied in the Zhytomyr, Kharkiv and Odesa regions.
