According to the press service of the State Ministry of Interior Affairs (MIA) of Ukraine in Kyiv, the message about the explosion at the door of the main entrance to the branch office of the Russian bank “Sberbank Rossii” in Kyiv, Ukraine, was received by the police at night, 04:13, April 02, 2015.
According to preliminary information, an unidentified explosive device worked.
The blast had damaged metal and plastic construction and glass showcases of two windows and the front door. No one was hurt.
On the scene specialists MIA (Ukraine) seized fragments of unknown objects, which are given to the examination.
It is most likely seems to be the Russian provocation because of a lot of rumors around this explosion. For example, the channel “112 Ukraine” (financed by pro-Russian oligarch Akhmetov) reported about a resident of the house next door who said that police officers at the scene found the leaflets calling to “rub Russian banks.”
The case is under investigation.
