UN Security Council meets on Ukraine

On Wednesday, January 21, the UN Security Council will meet to discuss the situation in Ukraine, permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN Yuriy Sergeyev posted on his Twitter.
“The whole team of the Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations is preparing for the responsible meeting of the Security Council on Wednesday. We prepare complete and unbiased picture for the world,” he wrote.
As reported, Lithuania, which is a non-permanent member of the Security Council, put forward the initiative to hold an unscheduled meeting. The meeting will focus on the strengthening of military operations in eastern Ukraine.
January 14, 2015, the UN Security Council condemned the attack of militants at a passenger bus in Volnovakha, Donetsk region, and took a statement from the Ukrainian delegation on this occasion.
