Ukraine imported 5.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Europe in 2014, which was 59%, or three billion cubic meters, more than in 2013, PJSC Ukrtransgaz’s press service has reported.
“Natural gas imports from Europe increased due to the opening of the Slovak supply route. In this regard, the largest amount of natural gas was received from Slovakia – 3.6 billion cubic meters, and 0.9 billion cubic meters and 0.6 billion cubic meters was imported from Poland and Hungary respectively,” the company said.
