MPs want to grant status of combatant to doctors from ATO area

The UDAR faction intends to develop a draft law, which will enable doctors, working in the ATO area, to receive a status of combatants.
MP Iryna Herashchenko, President’s Commissioner for peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas, said on Tuesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I think that over 10 days we will develop a relevant draft law. Then its adoption will be a task of the Verkhovna Rada,” Herashchenko said.
She added that currently, decisions on money payments for doctors are ready, who are working in the ATO area, which are taken by the Cabinet’s resolution.
“This can be done over a week, and as concerns a status – this is legislation,” Herashchenko noted.
