Core inflation in Ukraine accelerates to 6.6% in Feb

Core inflation in Ukraine in February 2017 accelerated to 6.6% in annual terms – compared to February 2016 – against 6.2% in January 2017 from January 2016, according to Ukrainian State Statistics Service`s website.

Core inflation in February 2017 accelerated to 0.7% compared to January 2017 against 0.4% in January 2017 from December 2016, the State Statistics Service said.

Since the beginning of the year, core inflation has been 1.1%.

The State Statistics Service said that the data excluded reports from temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and Donbas.

As UNIAN reported, inflation in Ukraine in February 2017 accelerated to 14.2% year-over-year, whereas it slowed to 1% from January 2017. Since the beginning of the year, consumer prices in Ukraine have grown by 2.1%.
