Ukraine`s Ukroboronprom Concern, which incorporates major enterprises of the country`s military and industrial complex, has signed a number of export contracts during the IDEX 2017 international exhibition, held in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, on February 19-23, according to the concern`s press service.
In particular, the contracts concern shipments of armored vehicles and electro-optics equipment, it said.
”On the first day, the concern`s delegation held productive talks with representatives of foreign companies and defense agencies present at the exhibition. Most of new contracts concern armored hardware and electro-optics equipment,” the press service said.
A Ukrainian-developed unmanned tactical vehicle, Phantom (Fantom), garnered the greatest interest at the exhibition, Ukroboronprom said.
Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Yuriy Brovchenko, who also attended the exhibition, said that the export potential of Ukroboronprom allows it to adequately represent our country at the international trade fair.
”Export contracts mean foreign currency revenue of the state budget and investment in the development of the entire state and, above all, in its military and industrial complex,” the press service quoted Brovchenko as saying.
