The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade states that Ukrainian companies imported gas from Europe for their own needs at an average price of UAH 6,006.66 ($230.01) per 1,000 cubic meters in the last month of 2016.
“The average customs value of imported natural gas, formed in the process of customs clearance in the period 1 to 31 December 2016 6006,65 amounted to UAH or $ 230 per thousand cubic meters”, – reads the report.
The average price of imported gas per 1,000 cubic meters in 2016 was:
in January was $231.41 (UAH 5,542.82)

Recently the Commercial Director of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko pointed that the average customs price of gas imported to Ukraine published by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is not representative.
In previous year, Ukraine from Europe imported 11.1 billion cubic meters of gas ( from Slovakia and 9.1 billion cubic meters, Hungary – 1 billion cubic meters, Poland – 1 billion cubic meters).
The ratio of Ukrainian production was to 20.2 billion cubic meters of gas.
