The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports that on January 3-4, 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, and the OSCE Chairman, Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Sebastian Kurz to provide working visit to Donetsk Region.
The head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry at the beginning of the presidency of this country in the OSCE wants to exam personally the state of Minsk agreements’ fulfillment, the social and economic situation in the region caused by the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine, as well as the implementation of charitable projects with the participation of Austrian humanitarian organizations.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports on its official website that ministers plan to discuss the deployment of armed OSCE police mission in Donbas:
“Pavlo Klimkin and Sebastian Kurz plan to discuss the efforts of the Austrian Presidency in the OSCE in 2017 that are set to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, and around Ukraine, including the deployment of armed OSCE police mission in some areas of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions, strengthening the potential of the Special OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine to provide effective monitoring and verification of the Minsk agreements’ fulfillment.”
In plans also a meeting of ministers with the heads of the local regional and city administrations, members of the OSCE Special monitoring mission.
