Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly took part in the Annual Business Meeting of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, which gathered representatives of American companies, the U.S. government and expert community, according to the Ukrainian government website.
”In his remarks, the Ambassador presented reforms progress in Ukraine, prospects of further development of our economy and his vision of priorities of U.S.-Ukraine strategic cooperation for 2017,” the report says.
”He underlined, that despite Russian aggression Ukraine achieved significant results in reforms implementation. This progress has been recognized and noted by our international partners – both in Europe and in the U.S.,” the government pres service wrote.
Ambassador Chaly also underlined an importance of American companies` contribution to the development of Ukrainian economy and invited investors to take a more proactive role in Ukraine`s revival. In his address to the leadership of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council Ambassador offered the participants to pay more attention to Ukrainian companies seeking new partners in the United States, which would unlock full potential of U.S.-Ukraine trade and investment cooperation.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the United States plans to expand military cooperation with Ukraine, in particular, to provide the equipment and technical support to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as stated in the draft U.S. defense budget for 2017, approved by the lower house of Congress.
