Public procurement reform: Savings due to Prozorro e-procurement system exceed UAH 7 bln

The average savings in tenders was at 13%, while the average number of bidders was 2.5 for each tender.

Budget savings due to the use of the system of electronic public procurement Prozorro, extended to all state customers from August 1, was UAH 7.03 billion as of November 28.

The average savings in tenders was at 13%, while the average number of bidders was 2.5 for each tender.

Most tenders via Prozorro were held by the Kyiv City State Administration (more than 50,000), the Ministry of Infrastructure (25,000), and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration (17,500), as well as the Dnipro and Mariupol city councils (11,00 each).

As UNIAN reported earlier, the system of electronic public procurement Prozorro from August 1 became mandatory for all government customers in the procurement worth UAH 200,000 for goods and UAH 1.5 million for the services.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade expressed that by the end of 2016, the use of Prozorro will have saved about UAH 5 billion and another UAH 50 billion in 2017.

Ukrainian system Prozorro was recognized by the international World Procurement Awards (WPA) in the category of Public Sector.
