President Petro Poroshenko said to Batkivshchyna deputies that the Association Agreement with the EU may be ratified in the parliament no later than in September.
MP from the Batkivshchyna faction Hryhoriy Nemyria said at a briefing, following a meeting with the President, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Our meeting with the President was held. The faction’s position is that it recommends to the President to urgently submit the Association Agreement to the Verkhovna Rada so that the Verkhovna Rada could ratify it in early September and Ukraine could start its full-fledged implementation. The President familiarized the faction with his approach, which consists in the fact that he believes that this Agreement may be ratified no later than in September,” Nemyria said.
He stressed that the Batkivshchyna considers ratification of the Agreement in the Verkhovna Rada as “the best ATO” in the current situation.
