Work on the construction and movement of the arch of a new safe confinement over the fourth power unit of Chornobyl nuclear power plant (NPP) is carried out according to the schedule and will be completed in 168 days, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Ostap Semerak wrote on Facebook.
”All works on the completion of construction and movement of the arch of a new safe confinement on the Ukryttia (Confinement) project are going according to schedule. I hope that we will complete the process of its movement in 168 days,” the minister said.
Semerak also said that on April 25, additional funding from donor countries for the completion of the Interim Storage Facility 2 (ISF 2), including EUR 1.4 million from Ukraine, were transferred to the accounts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
