Ukraine expects to see EU `visa decision` before summer break

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze says Ukraine has fulfilled all visa-liberalization requirements and will insist on the adoption of a final decision from the European Union on the introduction of a visa-free regime with Ukraine before the summer break.

”We will insist that the Ukrainian issue be addressed in the near future, before the summer break. Of course, there will be attempts of various groups to get a boat shattered again, but this only means that we and our colleagues in Parliament need to work more actively with the EU member states, various groups, movements, parties, in order to avoid the delay,” Klympush-Tsintsadze said in an interview with Ukrainian weekly Novoye Vremia.

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration said Ukraine still can rely on support of Western partners, despite them experiencing fatigue over the Ukrainian issue.

But this fatigue actively plays in hand of the Russian propaganda, Klympush-Tsintsadze warned, adding that Ukrainians sometimes should blame themselves for such situation.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko stated that 74% of the Ukrainian population support Ukraine`s integration into the EU.
