Rada passes law on economic activity in Crimea

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law on the tax and customs control in the free economic zone of Crimea and the peculiarities of the economic activity in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
The decision was supported by 227 MPs, according to a Ukrinform reporter.
The main purpose of the law is to provide for 10 years socio-economic incentives for the growth of investment activity, development of tourism infrastructure and increase of employment of citizens within the free economic zone (FEZ) of Crimea, improving the role of territorial communities of Crimea and Sevastopol in solving everyday problems of their lives as well as preventing the reduction of the employment of Ukrainian citizens and their incomes as a result of introduction in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city of repressive economic systems of other countries during the period of their temporary occupation.
