The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said that a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and State Duma deputies to Crimea is unacceptable.
Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Danylo Lubkivsky said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“It is unacceptable. Crimea is illegally occupied. The presence of the Russian leadership there is unacceptable. This is a clear and unambiguous position of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry,” Lubkivsky said.
As reported, the Russian president’s press secretary said that on Thursday, President Vladimir Putin would speak in Crimea to Russian MPs and ministers. According to the press secretary, during his visit to the peninsula Putin will travel to Yalta and Sevastopol, where, in addition to his speech, he is expected to have a series of meetings, including with local authorities.
