The authorities are doing everything possible to return to Ukraine a group of Ukrainian servicemen and border guards who, for objective reasons, were forced to move into the territory of the Russian Federation in the area of Gukovo border crossing point.
Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
“There is no information about the return of the Ukrainian military to the territory of Ukraine. The Ukrainian authorities are doing everything possible to bring them back home,” Lysenko said.
He specified that 171 servicemen and 140 border guards were forced to leave the territory of Ukraine.
