Russia has released a journalist of the Ukrainian 1+1 television channel, Yevhen Aharkov, who was held in a migration detention center 169 kilometers from Voronezh for almost two weeks and was accused of illegal journalistic activity.
He returns home and is already in Ukraine, tsn.ua reported.
“I feel good, alive and well, going home. I want to shout ‘Glory to Ukraine!'” the journalist said by phone.
According to Aharkov, on the border with Ukraine FSB employees did not want to let him go for almost two hours, but with the assistance of Ukrainian Consul Hennadiy Bryskalenko the border crossing procedure was accelerated, and the journalist was released.
