Ukrainian village Maryinka near Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine was heavy shelled by Russian-terrorist troops on June 03-04, 2015. Up to 1,000 terrorists participated in attack on Maryinka. Ukrainian Army units entirely suppressed enemy resistance in the vicinity of Maryinka.
The ATO press center published photos of the village of Maryinka after the Russia-backed terrorists’ attacks.
“Ukrainian soldiers have conducted a mop-up operation in Maryinka, searching for Russian militants. Local residents are recovering after terrorist attack on June 3, when the village was shelled with artillery and Grad rocket systems,” the ATO press service states.

The consequences of the Russian-terrorist gangs’ attack in Maryinka are really terrible. Artillery shells of the enemy for 15 hours destroyed the peaceful village – fire was aiming the civilian houses. Today, dozens of families are deprived of shelter and anxiously await the coming day.
As it was reported by NSDC Russia-backed militants launched an offensive on the Ukrainian military positions near Maryinka and Krasnohorivka using tanks, mortars and the artillery. Despite the escalation of fighting, Ukrainian troops hold control over Maryinka and Krasnohorivka. Russia-backed militants lost 80 fighters, while over 100 were left wounded as a result of fighting near Maryinka; 10 armored vehicles were destroyed as well.
Soldiers of the 28th Guards Mechanized Brigade demonstrated ID of Russian citizen Sergei Bitsoev that was found at the scene, weapons and equipment of the terrorists killed in the Maryinka attack.

The international community condemned the violation of truce by the Russian Federation. NATO Sec.Gen. Jens Stoltenberg said that Russia had a particular responsibility for the violation of the cease-fire because it backed the separatists in Eastern Ukraine. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Samantha Power told that Russia illegally tried to shift the contact line to include more territories in Eastern Ukraine.
