The Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevatyy reported on April 19, 2023, that 34 combat clashes took place in the Donetsk region (east of Ukraine). The Armed Forces of Ukraine killed 147 Russian servicemen and injured 232, one was taken prisoner.

“The heaviest fighting continues for the town of Bakhmut. At the same time, Ukrainian military repelled Russian attack in the direction of urban-type settlement of Stupochky. Vasyukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk and New York in Donetsk region suffered from Russian shelling,” noted the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
During the last 24 hours, 34 combat clashes took place, the Russian army carried out 2 missile and 21 air strikes, as well as 1 drone attack. Russian troops also shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops 539 times. At the same time, Ukrainian military attacked in response.
“The forces of the Eastern Group killed 147 Russian soldiers, 232 were injured, and one serviceman was captured,” added Serhiy Cherevatyy.
