The Chief of the General Staff of the National Defense of Greece, General Konstantinos Floros reported on April 6, 2023, that Greece is ready to transfer to Ukraine the second batch of BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles, as well as 73 mm projectiles, artillery and automatic ammunition.

“We have proven our solidarity with actions by already providing 72 tons of humanitarian aid and 3,870 tons of military material. And, we will continue to do so. As you know, we have already provided STINGER missiles and launchers, rockets, artillery ammunition, rifle ammunition, as well as BMP infantry fighting vehicles. We are also ready to transfer, in coordination with the International Donation Coordination Center (IDCC), another shipment of BMP-1s, 73mm shells, artillery ammunition and rifle ammunition,” informed the Chief of the General Staff of the National Defense of Greece.
Also, General Konstantinos Floros said that Moscow has made its contribution to strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This helped Kyiv defend itself against aggression from Moscow.
“We applied all the sanctions imposed on the Russian army, despite the significant cost to our country, and we do not regret it,” added the Chief of the General Staff of the National Defense of Greece.
