Russians massively shelled the Sumy region, 2 civilians were killed and 10 injured

The Sumy Regional Military Administration informed on March 24, 2023, that as a result of massive shelling by Russian troops in the Sumy region (northeastern Ukraine), two civilians were killed and ten others were injured.

“At night, Russians carried out massive shelling from various types of weapons on the territory of Bilopillia, Vorozhba, Richky and Mykolaiv settlement communities,” said the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The city of Bilopillia was shelled massively in the Bilopillia community: an airstrike was carried out, the shelling from the Grad rocket launchers (80 hits) and barrel artillery (20 hits) was recorded.

“As a result of the shelling of the city of Bilopilllia, 2 people were killed and 9 were injured. An administrative building, a school building, and a residential building were destroyed; multi-apartment and private buildings, as well as dormitory, were also damaged,” added the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

In addition, an anti-aircraft missile attack was carried out in the city of Vorozhba, as a result of which a residential building and an outbuilding were damaged. 1 person was injured.

Kindergarten and administrative building were damaged in the village of Vyry in Richky community. The school building was destroyed. Private houses, an administrative building and a gymnasium building were damaged in the village of Richky.

“An airstrike was carried out on an agricultural company in Mykolaiv settlement community. Industrial premises and agricultural machinery were damaged,” concluded the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The Aird Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added that the Russian army launched 11 guided aerial bombs and one Kh-31P missile over the Sumy region.
