The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the head of the Ukrainian National Commission on UNESCO Emine Dzhaparova reported on March 21, 2023, on Twitter, that the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida arrived in the capital of Ukraine.

“Ukraine is happy to welcome Japan’s PM Kishida Fumio. This historic visit is a sign of solidarity and strong cooperation between Ukraine and Japan. We are grateful to Japan for its strong support and contribution to our future victory,” tweeted Emine Dzhaparova.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan noted that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida would visit Ukraine on March 21 at the invitation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and then leave for the Republic of Poland.
“On this occasion, Prime Minister Kishida will express to President Zelenskyy his respect for the courage and perseverance of the Ukrainian people standing up to defend their homeland under President Zelenskyy’s leadership. Prime Minister Kishida, as Japan and the G7, of which Japan is the Chair, will directly convey our solidarity and unwavering support for Ukraine,” informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
In addition, Fumio Kishida during the meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy will reject Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine and unilateral forceful changes to the status quo. He will also confirm his resolve to maintain the international order based on law.
