Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration informed that the village of New York in the Donetsk region (east of Ukraine) is under fire from the Russian troops on March 18, 2023.

“The village of New York is under fire from Russian troops. Russians attacked the village around 01:00 a.m. with a rocket. Private and apartment buildings and the road were damaged,” explained the head of the Donetsk regional military administration.
According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, fortunately, there were no casualties.
The National police of Ukraine added that during the day on March 17, 2023, the Russian army shelled the Donetsk region 21 times, as a result of which police officers were injured and 35 residential buildings were damaged.
“The cities of Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Ukrainsk, Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, the villages of Lastochyine, Vremivka, Ivanivske, Novoukrainka, Vovchenka, Ivanopillia were under Russian fire. Russians used aviation, Grad and Uragan multiple rocket launchers, artillery, tanks and mortars against the civilian population,” said the National police of Ukraine.
As a result of the shelling, 39 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged – 35 residential buildings, a power line, a shop, a garage, and a car.
As a result of Russian attacks, police officers were injured in Ivanivske and Chasiv Yar. Also, one civilian was injured as a result of the detonation of a mine in Sviatohirsk.
