Russians shelled the Sumy region more than 120 times, houses and power lines were damaged: photos

The police of the Sumy region reported that Russian military fired 120 times at the border settlements of the Sumy region (northeastern Ukraine) on February 17, 2023, as a result, private houses and power lines were damaged.

“The police continue to document the consequences of Russian shelling in the Sumy region. During the past day, Russian troops shelled the border settlements of the Sumy region. In total, more than 120 hits were recorded,” explained the police of the Sumy region.

As a result, private houses, a power line and a car were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

“According to these facts, the police have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of laws and customs of war”, added the police of the Sumy region.

Sumy Regional Military Administration also noted that Russian soldiers fired three rockets from the territory of the Russian Federation in the Sumy region on February 17, 2023. One was destroyed by the air defense system. Two more S-300 missiles hit the town of Krasnopillia. Windows in one of the buildings were damaged.
