The Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte during a trip with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko to one of the Ukrainian thermal power plants on February 17, 2023, said that the Netherlands would continue to support the Ukrainian energy sector, in particular, 40 trucks with energy equipment are already on their way to Ukraine.

“Transformers are already on their way from the Netherlands to Ukraine. I am studying the questions from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding the reconstruction of this TPP. 40 trucks of equipment have already arrived to replace the destroyed one and another 40 are on the way. Fortunately, no one was killed during the shelling of this TPP, everyone was in the bomb shelter, and the Netherlands will help restore the equipment,” Mark Rutte said.
In particular, during the meeting, Herman Halushchenko and the energy experts told the Prime Minister of the Netherlands about the current situation in Ukraine’s energy system and the damage caused by Russian shelling.
“The Netherlands is already doing a lot. This country allocated funds for the restoration of the energy system of Ukraine through the World Bank and the EBRD. In addition, the Netherlands has already handed over 300 tons of equipment to Ukraine,” concluded the Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
