“Secretary Blinken and Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi convened this morning a meeting of G7 foreign ministers, Ukraine’s foreign minister, key European partners, and multilateral institutions to reaffirm our collective support for Ukraine and its energy sector, which remains under a brutal assault by Russia’s missile and drone strikes,” explained the Spokesperson of the US Department of State.

According to Ned Price, the possibilities of purchasing electric transformers and other priority equipment for the Ukrainian power grid were discussed, as well as methods of emergency delivery of the necessary aid to Ukraine.

“The Secretary and partners also emphasized the importance of continuing to provide air defense systems, which have helped Ukraine defend effectively against Russian attacks,” added the Spokesperson of the US Department of State.
