Delegation of the European Commission headed by President of EC will arrive in Kyiv on February 2

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal noted on January 17, 2023, that the delegation of the European Commission led by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen would arrive in Ukraine on February 2, 2023.

“We are currently preparing for a meeting with the delegation of the European Commission headed by Ursula von der Leyen, who will arrive in Kyiv on February 2. Important intergovernmental consultations will take place. We will check Ukraine’s implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission, assess the degree of progress, and understand the prospects of our joint work,” Denys Shmyhal said during the government meeting.

The Prime Minister noted that at the meeting, the parties would discuss the movement to “industrial visa-free”, joining the EU Single Roaming Area, and integration into the single euro payment area.

“We will also agree on the continuation of duty-free import of Ukrainian goods to Europe. We will discuss all urgent issues: cooperation in the military sphere, support of the energy sector, financial sphere, humanitarian areas of cooperation, and other important issues,” added the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
