The Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, Anatolii Kurtiev reported that Russians shelled Zaporizhzhia, damaging infrastructure and houses at night on January 12, 2023.

“The enemy [Russian army – ed.] cynically attacked our night city again. Infrastructure facilities were damaged. A fire broke out on the spot. Also, as a result of shelling, peaceful houses were again damaged. According to preliminary information, no one was injured. Appropriate services are already working at the place of missile “arrival”, emphasized the Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
In addition, a fragment of Russian rocket was discovered, which Russian troops used to attack the city.
“As a result of a night rocket attack by Russian soldiers in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia, private residential buildings and infrastructure objects were damaged. The extent of the damage is being determined, and all emergency services are working on the spot,” added the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
